dlc awarded Investors in People Gold

dlc a leading outsourcing agency are delighted to have been awarded Gold status from Investors In People (IIP). This puts dlc in a prestigious group of 600 companies that have achieved the gold standard.

Investors in People is the UK’s leading people management standard recognising the capabilities that set the best businesses apart. IIP uses a structured framework that identifies the best practices in people and organisation that enable businesses to improve performance, achieve growth and deliver sustainable success. Gold status is described by IIP as an achievement of ‘world class best practice’ and means we are considered to have the highest standards of people management and development that support dlc’s business goals.

The award was achieved following a comprehensive assessment by IIP assessors, evaluating dlc’s commitment to our values, effective business planning, strong leadership, and management capability and performance measurement. Gold standard is only given to organisations who can demonstrate excellence in developing and supporting their staff, and ability to meet 165 evidence requirements. These requirements were evidenced through lengthy interviews with a large number of staff across different levels in the company.

Key areas of strength were identified by our assessors, who were especially impressed with our efforts to continually improve what we do; who commented:

“dlc really is a great example of an Investor in People organisation. The way senior managers approach the people management processes in order to lead the business to success, whilst still maintaining that family business culture, is quite remarkable. Although the business has been through some challenging times over the past couple of years, managers at all levels have always considered how these changes impact on staff. They recognise how supporting people through these changes with effective leadership, consultation, learning and development and open communication can contribute to the success of these often externally imposed requirements. We are amazed just how much has been achieved during the last three years – it’s exhausting just hearing about it”.

Achieving Gold standard demonstrates dlc’s commitment to each member of staff and the focus we have on investing and supporting our people. This is a notable achievement given how few organisations have received this standard from the IIP assessors.
